North America GPS Advisor - Canada Timekeeping is responsible for accurate, compliant, and timely administration of Canada timekeeping operations by driving operational excellence in timecard management, dispute resolution, compliance monitoring, stakeholder support, and payroll readiness while minimizing payroll discrepancies and enhancing employee and manager accountability.

  • Administer and support end-to-end Canada timekeeping processes across assigned business groups.
  • Review, validate, and monitor employee timecards to ensure payroll readiness and compliance with internal policies
  • Investigate and resolve timekeeping discrepancies including missed punches, schedule variances, segment issues, holiday selections, pay code concerns, and timecard approval gaps.
  • Ensure accurate processing of overtime, statutory holidays, premium pay, leave transactions, and attendance-related pay adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Payroll teams to ensure timely processing of payroll-impacting corrections and retroactive adjustments. Support payroll cutoff activities and ensure all required approvals and
  • validations are completed within established timelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Canada timekeeping inquiries from employees, managers, HR, and operational leaders.
  • Provide guidance and education regarding timekeeping policies, payroll deadlines, attendance practices, and system navigation.
  • Support managers in driving employee timecard review and approval compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain operational reports, dashboards, and metrics related to timecard approvals, dispute volumes, payroll accuracy, attendance trends, and compliance performance.
  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce payroll disputes and operational inefficiencies.
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights and trend analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles, and training materials.
  • Ensure adherence to Canadian labor standards, provincial employment regulations, company attendance policies, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Performs other tasks/duties that are being assigned by other departments and/or stakeholders 

What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you must…

  • College degree (negotiable as long as there is a solid Canada Timekeeping experience)
  • Preferably with knowledge in Canada Labor Laws and Holiday Policies but not a requirement.
  • Experience supporting Canadian payroll or timekeeping operations preferred.
  • Agency notice management, logins and coordination.
  • Experience in state, province and national taxes and insurances in US
  • Background in SAP, ADP WorkforceNow and UKG. Or other time and attendance software
  • Experience working independently and with multi-functional teams and collaborating with team members at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, analytical and process development skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
  • Canada Holiday
