Join our Transcom Family as a BID Manager!

  • As a Manager of Bid Support your main responsibility will be to drive the overall bid response process ensuring that Transcom delivers value based, solution oriented proposals to key clients and improving the company’s win percentage at the proposal stage. 
  • You will deliver on this objective by reviewing RFP documents, understanding and owning all key RFP deliverables, working with Sales to develop the win strategy, and ultimately creating proposal response material that effectively communicates Transcom’s unique value. 
  • You will be responsible for authoring, proofreading, and editing proposal content – ensuring consistency, clarity, appropriateness, and persuasiveness of thematerial.
  • In this role, you report directly to the Director of Bid Support & Implementation, and participate in all RFP planning sessions to fully understand business requirements. 
  • You will also work closely with members of the Sales organization to determine how to best position the proposal response.
  • Mainly responsible for submitting a completed bid to an existing or prospective client, on time, with the questions answered with fully, with excellent quality, containing the best representation of the company and brings the best possible chance for the organisation’s successful bid.
  • Responsible for completion of boiler plate response content as well as customized response content based on feedback provided by bid team, with timely updates, based on the organisations dynamic processes in place.
  • Coordinate with sales lead to assign bid team and schedule conference calls with stakeholders as required
  • Coordinate with sales lead to maintain organized and consolidated bid details on regional and cross-regional deals for all bid members
  • Responsible to ensure the client response document aligns with the delivery and technical solution and the contractual agreement
  • Actively participate in all bid calls to provide feedback on possible opportunities and risks and to support the solution development.
  • Document and circulate meeting minutes for all bid calls.
  • Cooperate with peer review activities to improve overall work products.
  • Participate as a key member of the contracts negotiating team providing analysis and input on contract change impacts to deal outcome.
  • Be an active, dynamic and contributing member of the Transcom North America & Asia bid management team;
  • Build strong and effective relationships with internal customers;
  • Demonstrate a genuine and achievable commitment to provide a first class service at every level to all users of Transcom.
  • Identify and mentors potential back-up/replacement candidate.
What we are looking for:

To be successful in this role you must…

  • Strong understanding of call centre operations, and the outsourced CRM Market
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to “lift” key stories, messages and case examples from our business to develop meaningful content
  • Ability to understand high-level business issues and proposed detailed solution to high-level issues.
  • Ability to understand complex material.
  • Strongproject management orientation.
  • Able to work under pressure, and manage to tight RFP deadlines.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience demonstrated in a role in outsourcing services, CRM, or related services would be a distinct advantage.
  • Have knowledge in the software Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Sales/Bid Management experience preferred, operations experience deemed an asset.
  • Proven track record of creating and delivering business objectives.
  • Strong customer focus, with drive for delivering quality service.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building, able to communicate at the most senior levels and present effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Hold a high level of morale.
  • Be self motivated and problem solving oriented.
  • Take ownership for quality, competence and commitment.
