Join us as a Global IT Application Support Specialist

  • Collaborate within a dedicated team providing application support to Transcom contact centre operations

  • Responsibility for request fulfillment, incident resolution, root cause analysis and management of vendor support/internal tickets

  • Perform 1st, 2nd or 3rd level support activities in line with ITs SLAs

  • Develop a sound understanding of each system/application within the global portfolio

  • Evolve a strong knowledge in all underlying technologies such as script languages, database management, communication protocols etc

  • Maintain good working relationships with the IT organisation and Business Customers, applying a customer first approach

  • Plan and clearly communicate all maintenance activities, ensuring an understanding of all possible impacts on the business

  • Maintain the internal knowledge base by taking ownership of required documentation and process definitions

  • Take part in project related activities as required

  • Actively look for and suggest opportunities for improvement to ensure ongoing efficiency

What we are looking for:

  • High School or Tech High School Diploma, a college or University degree is a plus

  • Good understanding of IP/ICMP protocols, web technologies and relational database technologies

  • Professional experience in supporting web UI applications and in setting up and troubleshooting server/desktop hardware and software 

  • Basic understanding of call switching, control and call management

  • Advanced knowledge of Ms office/Google suite or equivalent office applications

  • Microsoft Certification is a plus

  • Cloud (Azure/GCP) certification is a plus

  • ITIL certification is a plus

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a IT Helpdesk environment

  • A strong knowledge of remote connectivity tools and other help desk tools

  • Experience of contact centre technology is preferred

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Detail oriented, with sound organisational and analytical skills

  • Flexible to include off hours availability
