We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and providing the insights necessary to drive our company's financial health. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Record, verify, and process financial transactions in accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes by preparing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems.
- Prepare and submit tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Monitor budgets and provide regular updates on financial performance.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and best practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or co-op experiences are a plus).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and relevant laws.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience with preparing tax returns.
- Understanding of financial analysis techniques.
