Join Transcom as a Lead Backend Developer! 
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems, ensuring technical excellence through best practices and rigorous testing while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture. In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible team growth and development
  • Align technical solutions with business goals
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and implementing continuous improvements
  • Build and maintain backend systems that meet current needs and are prepared to evolve with future demands
  • Be responsible for optimizing system performance
  • Oversee the implementation of system architecture, including databases, APIs, and microservices
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
  • Build and lead a team of engineers across their employment journey
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Ensure backend systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements

To be successful in this role, the following is needed:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or relevant IT and work experience
  • 7+ year of software engineering experience
  • Strong experience in JavaScript, our core stack is node.js
  • REST API development experience is a must
  • Demonstrated development & deployment experience in Cloud environments, GCP is an advantage, AWS or Azure
  • Good experience with different database technologies
  • Experience following an Agile development framework
  • Detailed-oriented but able to see the big picture
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude
  • A desire to lead, mentor and support the team
  • Fluency (C1) in English is a must (both written and spoken)
