- His/her main duties include providing support to the Recruitment department from application set up through candidate show on day one of employment – including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Recruitment Specialist must explain requirements and duties to candidates, as well as assist the Recruitment Supervisor in achieving targets and maintain a good relationship with employees, employers, and candidates
- A Recruitment Specialist performs data entry to input and update applicant information in the candidate database.
- They uphold confidentiality when handling applicant information.
- Ensure that all the necessary paperwork is filed and that applicant forms are completed and processed
- To ensure that all candidates receive a friendly and consistent service
- Conduct screening of candidates on phone and video
- Conducts in-depth interviews, Assess of applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Preparing contracts and communicating all onboarding documents to new employees
- Ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly communicated to candidates and that they are assessed against the desired criteria for the role
- Process Background and Criminal Record Checks
- Maintains and tracks requirements of newly on-boarded employees
- Own the negotiation process with final-stage candidates, from offer to acceptance.
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Participate in monthly calibration sessions
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Adhere to assigned performance metrics
- Coordinates with different hiring leaders for manpower requisitions
- Work on different recruitment tools to guarantee quality of hires and efficiency in hiring
- Build trusting relationships with potential hires
- Participates in calibration meetings and communicates the needs/demands of hiring accounts
- Performs other related tasks from time to time
- Assist in contacting applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration and selection.
- Attend job fairs and recruitment events
- Prepares daily and weekly reports based on function and need
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you must…
- Above average communication skills in written and oral English
- Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based, stress, etc)
- Preferably with at least 1 year of related work experience
- Hands-on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc)
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
- Ability to multi-task
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Amenable to work on shifting schedule
- Achieve goals and targets
- Consistently demonstrate behaviors emulating Transcom values
- Consistently adhere to company policies and code of conduct
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
- Ability to work in teams, as well as work on their own with minimal supervision
- Strong decision-making skills
- Promote the company’s reputation as the “best place to work”
- Preferred experience with high-volume hiring
- Preferred experience in the Call Center BPO industry
- Preferred experience working with candidates in the United States and/or Canada
